My Mantra

I have been studying and practicing Nāda yoga for many years. Nāda yoga is the practice of tuning into the inner sound or vibration that exists within the body and using it as a means of meditation and self-discovery. It is based on the belief that everything in the universe is made up of sound vibrations and that by focusing on these vibrations, we can connect with the divine within us. Nada Yoga involves the use of music, mantra, and chanting to help practitioners attune themselves to the sound within. It is believed to have numerous benefits for both the body and the mind, including stress reduction, improved concentration, and increased spiritual awareness. Nada Yoga is a powerful tool for anyone looking to deepen their meditation practice and connect with their inner self.

As a retired professional opera singer, sound and the effect of vibration on my body has been a lifelong study. In the past few years I have undertaken teacher training in Nāda yoga with Anandra George’s Heart of Sound.

This project has three parts to it;

  1. I will produce fifty-two print plates for a weekly source of contemplation. The print plates will be inspired by particular mantras.
  2. An art book will be created combining the plates, mantras and their pronunciation, as well as background information on Nāda yoga as a guideline to the art and practice.
  3. The art book as an E-book which will also incorporate links to me singing the mantras featured in the book as well as guided meditations focusing on particular mantras.

More information on how this project will follow as the it unfolds.
